As the name suggests, using a C-clamp directly on the piston will result in chipping the lip and in my case catastrophic damage to the piston calipers . fail. If only I had spent money (and not really a lot) on this tool kit for the first time, I could have saved myself the expense and hassle of replacing my caliper. This steering wheel works exactly as advertised and if your caliper pistons are spinning (I'm looking at you Mazda) it will work. The tools come in a hard case that keeps everything organized and easy to store. In fact, they are inexpensive. Just buy them and don't use the C-Clip to change your brakes at home.
