When laying floor tiles, these leveling devices would not get lost if "any" thin set were attached to the leveling device. Bad design! There should be a thinner layer of plastic where the tile leveler meets the clamp arms. After trying to loosen the aligners/wedges I had to stop because they were still standing. When attempting to break them off manually, they came loose above the grout line. Now I have to use a flashlight with a utility knife to cut these plastic levers below the grout line. The ones I didn't break due to this issue, I cut them in half and used a utility knife to put them in the aligner on both sides to get them out. Even then they broke off above the joint line. Don't you use these clips?
