I plan to use them mainly for making picture frames. I am an artist so i have to make a lot of frames for exhibitions and various art competitions and frames are expensive to buy, i tried them as soon as they arrived and they keep the two sides of the frame perfectly at a right angle q 90 degrees together. They hold beveled boards or butt-joined boards. They are made of quality material and work well. The maximum jaw opening width is 2.6" which fits most frames. If I need to use a wider shape, I use a different technique When making angled connections, I apply glue to the mating edges, adjust for a snug fit, and nail the moldings together while the glue a hardens. The easiest way to make a frame with these clips is to glue opposite corners and let the glue dry, then glue the remaining two sides together. I could take another set and make all four connections at once, but I don't think that's necessary. There are slotted holes for attaching the clip to the board, but I won't do that. The clamps are supplied with a package of softwood countersunk screws. They're the right length for 3/4" boards. I won't be using them in my picture frames, but I will be using them on other projects! I'm a big fan of countersunk screws! I'm very happy with these rectangular clamps! You will benefit a lot!
