I bought this for my 43 inch TV because it had good reviews and the subwoofer was narrow to fit my space. In my opinion, the device was not designed for a TV, but for a gamer using a PC monitor. I have other Creative speakers and am happy with their sound, size, reliability and performance. To connect to the TV, I use the optical interface in PCM mode. latest sound formats for TV, but it has good sound. I'd rather have good sound than all the bells and whistles, this unit delivers good sound in my opinion. It doesn't look like my home theater sound system, but it's great for my bedroom. The only downside I have is that the remote doesn't work like a regular on/off remote that requires 2 button presses to turn my device off.
