Bought to replace my Bobcat 743 in the late 80's (Kubota Diesel). This starter is screwed close to the body. A few differences to the OEM: - Different length and rear end of the new starter. I couldn't use the block mount that supported the back of the OEM starter. - The cable from the starter relay to the starter goes to the opposite pole on the new starter magnet compared to the original. I suppose there's no harm in plugging it in wrong the first time, but it won't start. In general, my Bobcat now starts normally. If I need to replace the starter again I'm looking for one that can be used with a rear bracket like the OEM one. If I can't find it (without paying for a new OEM) I can buy it again.
