I bought these to replace two cheaper units that were making cold idle insanely choppy and causing power spikes at high loads at highway speeds. Maybe it was just my car's reaction (so I won't give them a bad rating), but they fixed the problems right away. If you have a base model Mini r56 N14 without turbo, remove the screw from the intake side by magnetizing the screw, then pull out the solenoid and disconnect the wires. Try not to remove the inlet hose or you will have to reinstall it!
