While this record weight cannot fully overcome/control heavily deformed records, it seems to work well as a semi stabilizer. The chrome I ordered is quite nice and heavy enough for my regular disc player (Denon DP-52F). In addition, its low height does not affect the closed dust cover. Finally, the quality of the packaging speaks volumes for the high quality of the product (designed and engineered in New York but made in China). PS By the way, it can work as a thermometer! because when I touched it, I noticed for the first time that the turntable motor had gotten too hot! Just in case. :)
