Excellent workmanship and overall quality product. A must for audiophiles of all spectrums. You need this if you want to get the best out of your records, especially when listening to your 1990s collection, which is no doubt somewhat warped from age and storage. This handy device works hard to position the vinyl for playback. The weight will slowly smooth out your albums, leaving you with superior and higher quality sound!

This is a nice little record weight. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it has 2 finger slots instead of just one. It fits well in the spindle and isn't so heavy that I'm concerned about the flexing of the base. The chrome is good, the box it came in is good for storage. The original packaging was very difficult for me to open so I took a nice box and put it on the shelf next to the turntable and it fitted perfectly. It's a great addition and my old non-180g records sound better.

Very well made. I have both black and chrome. Obviously chrome goes well with silver turntables and black goes well with a black arm. Chrome looks fantastic on my EAT Prelude. The black color looks good on my Rega P2 as pictured. This definitely improves the sound quality on slightly distorted recordings by preventing them from skipping. It doesn't necessarily improve the sound of all my recordings, but it looks amazing! It costs money.

The sound of vinyl records depends on the iron. You may have a specific record or expensive needle pen. I calculated that the extra weight in the middle of a record could help 80% of my record collection (edit - I originally thought only 20% of my records would sound better). While this record weight cannot fully overcome/control heavily deformed records, it seems to work well as a semi stabilizer. The chrome I ordered is quite nice and heavy enough for my regular disc player (Denon DP-52F). In addition, its low height does not affect the closed dust cover. Well if you read the other reviews here you can see where customers say they don't notice a difference in the sound. BUT. If you have a good player and system, you will notice the difference.
