I bought these as a giveaway because they are THE BEST little pull through sharpeners. DO NOT buy carbide blades! (If you doubt me, check out YouTube.) Carbide sharpeners cut the metal off the blade, removing a lot more metal than necessary, leaving it rough. When I'm on the go and need to get the sharpness back this is the best product I've found - having tried a few other versions like Smiths and Lansky. It has diamond studded sticks to bring the edge back into shape. The ceramic side is most effective in getting a sharp edge that simply needs touching up. Keep this tool handy, especially when you are away from home.
