What Tony T Said! ! !Buy a heavy duty spring - even if it's rated for a 2" antenna. EDIT 1/28/15: Had the opportunity to test in several "low clearance" garages this spring. Works perfectly! The headlights didn't break, but they looked dirty. Antenna, spring and bracket are in good condition. It's best to leave tools (if needed) in the car to remove the antenna before driving into low garages, but sometimes you just need to park NOW! Just be careful when backing up. LoL! EDIT 7/19/16: The spring is getting very rusty. Stainless steel?
