Fits perfectly. If you are like me and .

Excellent! It was way cooler than I thought. Fits perfectly. If like me you have to remove the antenna to get into the garage, you cut the end of your latex glove while driving and you want to keep water and dirt out of the top connector hole.

Good hard spring with a problem

Very hard spring apparently for Firestick/Hanstick antennas. However, the pin on the bottom is not fixed. It's just a piece of threaded rod loosely screwed in halfway. If you want to keep it in the spring, then some Loctite red (permanent effect) will help you. Otherwise, you may lose sight of it or leave it at your base.

STAINLESS STEEL? - Radio antennas

Great fit and handling, no problems at 80mph with 4ft fiberglass antenna with quick connect over spring - But I doubt it's stainless steel or steel grade - I live and park my truck near 200 feet from the sea and this spring shows some white powder corrosion after about a week. My Firestik quick disconnect and bolt do not have this type of corrosion. Interestingly, the steel used in the spring is different. If I remember I'll post a photo.

Good quality nib

What Tony T Said! ! !Buy a heavy duty spring - even if it's rated for a 2" antenna. EDIT 1/28/15: Had the opportunity to test in several "low clearance" garages this spring. Works perfectly! The headlights didn't break, but they looked dirty. Antenna, spring and bracket are in good condition. It's best to leave tools (if needed) in the car to remove the antenna before driving into low garages, but sometimes you just need to park NOW! Just be careful when backing up. LoL! EDIT 7/19/16: The…

Not a true Firestik nib.

Does not look like the original Firestik nib advertised. I suspected this as it arrived in a plastic bag instead of the original box so I ordered another from an authorized retailer outside of Revain. Reviews here complaining of rust and nib strength are also likely due to the fact that this is not a genuine Firestik nib. You can clearly see the difference in the coating color and threads on both ends of the feathers. In all my photos, the original Firestik nib is on the left and the fake…

Trust other reviews. NO STRONG SPRING!

I should have listened to other reviewers. This is by no means a high performance spring. I installed a 3ft Firestik antenna on it. This spring flexes and begins to rock back and forth during normal vehicle movement. Something as small as going down the incline of the driveway makes it clap. I don't even think it classifies as a medium-load spring. If you want a stiffer spring, this is definitely not for you. I put off the install so my return date has passed and I'm stuck with it. I'm already…

Adds height and flexibility

This is important when placing the antenna over a roofline where trees, a garage, etc. can bend it. In addition, the antenna is relieved at high speeds. It will, of course, also increase its height by a couple of inches. There's nothing to like or dislike, it's a metal spring and it does its job very well. The only reason to take the star off is because the day after I put it on it had a weird coating on it, similar to the salt people put on a car in the winter. However, it did not affect…

This spring I held a 4 foot fire stick.

I used this spring to hold a 4ft fire stick and it works very well! It keeps the antenna upright and at high speeds and flexes as needed. I've driven into my garage many times and forgot to remove the antenna and it just keeps bending without damaging the antenna. If something hits the antenna and throws it back, it returns to its place very quickly without rotating too much, protecting your car from bumps. My only complaint with this spring is that after a while it starts to flex backwards on…

They are good but need improvement

Honest feedback from a buyer. So I bought these thinking they would be a great addition to my master plan. They were everything I expected but not everything I needed. Remember, they work great in an ideal environment. However, I'm far from a perfect setup, but I have a good idea of what they're capable of. Here is my general experience with these springs. The feathers say they can handle 5ft antennas. I have a hard time finding that true. Yes they work but after about 3,000 miles the springs…
