I honestly didn't expect Andobil to work so well. It's actually quite affordable and I'm used to cheap items that don't work as well as this car phone mount. I have an iPhone 8 and have decided to use a dashboard mount with an extender instead of a vent clip. I didn't need the extra 3M sticky pad they provided you with (which is a nice touch). I installed the bracket according to the instructions and it held up the first time. I would like to point out that the instructions mention that you do not install the phone in such a way that it could interfere with the airbag deployment, what I thought was prudent, and I cherished that memory. I rode train tracks, speed bumps and hit a pothole that a small Volkswagen fit in (okay, maybe not that big) and the mount held its position unlike other items I tried. No twists, no dropping the phone, no movement at all. I was really impressed. It's not too big to obscure my vision while riding, and its lever adjustment allows it to be placed in the position that works for me. For reference I have a Subaru Legacy. This may or may not be related to product performance and I thought I'd add it anyway. I haven't tried it on any other machine.
