I wanted something round that would make my egg whites round enough to fit nicely on an English muffin. At first I tried just drizzle them with vegetable oil, place them on a preheated, oiled pan, and pour in egg whites. The egg whites oozed out from under this product and didn't help me achieve my goal of a thick, round English muffin-shaped egg white. I was very disappointed with how thin the egg white was to make it work - so there was as little leakage as possible. Then I rethought the tool as a cookie cutter. I cooked a nice thick egg white on both sides (no steel ring) and then transferred the cooked egg white to a cutting board. I took one of those egg rings and pressed it into the egg white and turned it in circles until it was a perfectly round cooked egg white. I've made this several times and now put round egg whites on top of an English muffin. It worked fine. I tied the leftovers together and either attached them to English muffins or ate them separately. I can see myself using these rings again and again when making fake Egg McMuffin in the future. I didn't need two of these though and they are disappointing as a round storage box for a raw egg white. These are essentially cookie cutters and in my opinion should only be used if you want reliable round cut-outs to match your English muffin.
