I recently bought two of these flashes. It was a week before the big wedding concert and my canonical flash broke. I borrowed two more identical flashes from a photographer friend of mine. The place where we filmed was very dimly lit (ooh!) even during the day. But I installed these lights in three corners and the fourth is on my camera. What I like most about these flashes is that one flash can be used to control others. This not only saves money but is also VERY convenient. I shot 10 hours with my camera's flash and at least 4 hours with other lights. I only had to change the batteries once or twice during the entire event. My ONLY complaint about these flashes is that one of them got REALLY hot. I say the depths of hell that will (literally) melt batteries hot. The indicator light alerted me to the high temperature and the flash turned off. When I tried to take the batteries out, they burned like hell out of my hands. Apparently this flash was stopped to cool down. As soon as it cooled down, I changed the batteries and everything was fine until the end of the filming. It hasn't happened since, but I didn't get him through the tough 10-hour workday either. I probably should have returned that particular flash, but it's too late. Out of the four I had, only one became a Hades-level hell. The other 3 worked like clockwork and stayed cool. I definitely recommend this flash, even better than the Canon flash I have. It seems so much simpler, more user friendly and the trigger function is AMAZING; Just watch your hands when the flash heats up. ;)
