Review on MIG 205 Welding Machine Gasless Voltage by Justin Herman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good value for money: MIG welding machine

I made nothing but a flux core and some chopsticks. So far it looks like a big deal with lots of energy. This is a huge upgrade from my Flux Core 110 which I've been using for about 10 years. I have included a picture from the book which was the information I was looking for before purchasing. It's amazingly light and portable. Came like many others with a defective electrode holder. But I contacted yeswelder and they quickly sent me a replacement. They sent me a 500 amp electrode holder instead of a 300 amp electrode holder but it turned out to be much stronger so I'm happy. Even 2lb spools are fine for this, most reviews say not needed. 3 month update. Welder still works great and I'm getting better at choosing the right settings. I finally got gas for it and had a little problem sealing the hose where it connects to the back of the welder. I contacted the company to see if they could help me with the issue. I think maybe it's a translation error, but I didn't understand what they always said, what's the problem. They ended up giving me a small amount of money to buy a familiar part but continued to give me confusing information. I ended up buying a new gas hose and the fitting it connects to on the back of the welder and that fixed my leak. I'm a little disappointed that the customer support team wasn't a little bit more helpful. So I downgraded my rating accordingly. To update. 3/22/21 The welder works fine. There was a problem with the gas line in the welder. Somehow he was leaning over and not letting off enough gas. Instead of trying to contact the company I just fixed it myself and everything seems fine.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
