Review on 🚪 Liftmaster 877MAX Wireless Garage Door Opener Entry System - Compatible with All LiftMaster Garage Door Openers Since 1993 by Chris Nastanovich

Received this today (an early Christmas present for my husband) and we got it working but not without difficulty. We really like the device itself - it looks good and is solid and it's very easy to assemble. However, the included instructions for pairing with our Liftmaster garage door opener did not work despite repeated attempts to follow the instructions closely. The pairing instructions were based on the color of the learn button on our device: red, yellow, or green. The learn button itself is gray on our 8500, like all buttons, but the learn indicator, which lights up when pressed, is red. So we followed the red learn button instructions repeatedly, but nothing happened. Finally, I went to the attic and found our device's instruction manual, which clearly stated that our device was compatible with all Security+2.0 remote openers. The instructions that came with the remote said the YELLOW learn button was for +2.0 security, so we followed the instructions for the yellow learn button and it worked the first time. Sigh. Too bad they didn't tell us to check the user guide first, instead of pointing out that the color of the learn button is the deciding factor in the pairing process. Well it works and we love it! Merry Christmas! (a bit early :-)
