It was very easy to install. Go and find a video on Youtube because it visually sums it all up for you. I also programmed mine before hanging it on the wall so I was next to the elevator. Keyword: Pay attention to the color of the learn button.

The description says 877MAX but I received the wrong 878MAX as shown in the picture which does not match the product description and is not compatible with my LiftMaster 8500 garage door.

Whoever wrote the instructions for the Liftmaster must have allowed his youth to mess up the order of the procedures. There is no way this will work with your order. Save yourself the hassle and use the revised guide provided above by a real user. The operation went flawlessly.

Because my garage door requires a remote control to open, I needed a way to access my garage when the remote control wasn't available. I needed a remote opener that was cordless, easy to install and would work with the LiftMaster branded garage door opener. Found this product at Revain and was very pleased with the ease of installation, pairing directly with my opener, and as a bonus, the color closely matched the finish. Very happy with it and would recommend.

We've installed a new garage door and were looking for an outside access keypad. It was easy to set up and install and sits unobtrusively on the side of the garage. . Works well, much better than our previous one (which was frankly old). I'm not sure what "transparency" means, so I only gave it 3 stars. it is not translucent/transparent. I'm not sure what that means. But it's not very thick, so it's not a big bump on the wall. if it makes sense

Received yesterday and installed in less than 5 minutes this morning. (C'mon, 2 screws!) I made a template on paper in addition to measuring the distance between the two holes. The written instructions in the garage door opener setup booklet (old liftmaster over 5 years old) did NOT work. HOWEVER there are slightly different instructions on the cover of the device itself and it worked perfectly the first time. Just for comparison: I am a woman over 70 years old.

Do not mount on the wall before programming! We mounted it on the wall before programming and made the fatal mistake of programming it with the door open, as the instructions make no reference to the importance of a closed door when programming and this error is impossible to erase from memory.
