It's not a terrible display, but the colors do feel a little washed out, and there's that slight blurring in the text that makes it unbearable. If you're buying it for gaming or watching movies and not a MacBook, you should be fine. But if you're looking for a monitor that's primarily for encoding, reading, or writing, this isn't the one.
