I used it to remove the oil filter on my 2001 Tacoma which is in a tight space. I bought it because of the good discount price and reversible function, and this oil filter wrench has a plastic cover on each sponge to protect the oil filter from being scratched or damaged. It's a little difficult to reach the filter when it's oily. But once you get the hang of it, you can easily remove it. On my 2001 Tacoma, tightening the oil filter with bare hands is difficult due to space limitations. So I used this wrench to tighten about 1/8 turn without damaging the oil filter and there is an oil leak. The downside is that all 3 plastic covers are damaged after the first use as shown in the picture. I'll use a wrench extension to make it easier to grab.
