UPDATE: I've owned this monitor for about 2 years now and it's still working great, I really like it. I still wish the stand was more adjustable, but other than that I still fully recommend this monitor, especially at its August 29, 2022 price. This is the best value: a quality ultrawide monitor I could find on Amazon, and believe me I have reviewed a lot. This monitor is a great solution as text is significantly better on a 1080p monitor and reading text on my other monitor becomes painful. As someone who has never used an ultra wide screen the width is fantastic, I would have preferred the extra width even if it meant a 60Hz cap. This monitor also works well with gsync compatibility, I haven't encountered any issues so far. My only issues with this monitor are ghosting and response times. You won't get more than 6ms response time from this monitor even though overdrive is enabled, it's possible but ruins the picture with every movement. This monitor also suffers from noticeable ghosting, some of the worst I've seen on any monitor I've purchased. The ghosts aren't terrible, but they are there and you will notice them. Viewing angles aren't great either due to the fact that it's a VA panel, but that's to be expected. The stand is fairly nondescript, fairly low, no height adjustment, only tilting, but for the price I don't mind. Tl; Dr, here are my pros and cons after using this monitor for about half a month. Pros: - Best value for money of any ultra wide angle in this price range. No other monitor I've found offers both 3440 x 1440 resolution and a $400 refresh rate at 144Hz - a great curve, most monitors in this price range only offer a 1800r curve. Trust me, the 1500p curve makes a big difference for such a wide display. - Decent color rendering. For a VA panel, it's about on par with my ips monitor, so no complaints. CONS: - 1ms monitor response time, 6ms response time is really not good for competitive gaming. I find I lose a lot in games like Overwatch or CS if I had the upper hand with my other monitor - a whole bunch of pointless features. The display is HDR compatible, but HDR actually looks worse than the default in every situation I've tried it in. Overdrive leaves horrible black stripes when driving in game, don't use it imo. Noise canceling doesn't seem to help. That has to be my biggest complaint. Because of this, I simply cannot recommend it for fast shooters. Overall I really like this monitor. It's a lot in my opinion and the pros really outweigh the cons for me. I love having extra screen space especially in strategy games like civ, hoi4, stellaris, europa etc. It's also great for work as I can comfortably fit 2 or even 3 windows on the screen. However, I cannot recommend this monitor for fps, especially for something competitive. Because of this, I would not recommend making this monitor your only monitor as it is simply inefficient in some situations. If you play strategy games I 100% recommend this monitor and encourage you to choose between similar monitors in this price range. Thank you for reading!
