I use this monitor for gaming and video editing on PC and 2018 iMac respectively. First off, this monitor is HUGE! Because it's ultra-wide, it's not even as big as the 30-inch monitor it replaced. Make sure you have horizontal space before buying! The supplied stand is not suitable. No height or swivel adjustment. If you have a VESA mount like I do, note that the screw holes are recessed quite deep into the back of the monitor (especially the bottom two). I ended up having to buy more screws as the ones that came with my mount didn't fit (in my case I use M4 0.7 metric screws and in my case a 40mm length). If you order the bracket with your monitor, do yourself a favor and order the screws at the same time! Finally the screen itself. The picture quality is amazing! It's already been mentioned that you can't adjust the brightness when HDR is active, which is frustrating at first but not a big deal. Once you've set the brightness you want (I use about 65, with 55 contrast), turn on HDR on monitor, then in Windows/Software and you're good to go! Some games (Assassin's Creed Odyssey) started out too bright, everything was blurry, but when you turn the brightness down to 20% in the game, everything looks much better! Others (Fusers) look fantastic right away! After using this for a while, I can't imagine going back to a regular widescreen for gaming! Ultra wide is much more exciting! Just make sure you have a graphics card that can handle the extra resolution! In some games I had to turn down the graphics settings to get playable frame rates. Another small issue: if the frame rate is too low (e.g. below 20) during a dark scene, there is a slight flickering every few seconds. Not enough to really annoy me, but I could see how it might put someone off. I didn't know about having an extra screen for video editing until I got this monitor! The iMac resolution may be higher, but the extra space is much better for setting up the timeline. With multiple DisplayPort inputs, the parallel connection feature is great for multiple computers. Combined with a program like Synergy, which allows you to use the same mouse and keyboard on Mac and PC, this feature becomes seamless! It also has a picture-in-picture option, but even at the highest settings it's still too small to do anything without zooming. The only option I'd like to see with the side-by-side feature is for the monitor to report a native resolution of 1720 x 1440 when that mode is active so as not to automatically clip every other vertical line. Otherwise, this is a great feature! All in all I cannot recommend this monitor enough, especially for the price! I've been buying a new monitor for months and it's the only monitor that meets all my needs in my price range (curved, ultrawide, HDR, 144Hz and under $500). After using it I couldn't be happier!
