This is a fantastic portable hotspot. I carry it with me to prove to customers that their WiFi hotspots are broken or to provide hotels with their own WiFi. With other routerboard products, you use Winbox to login and control the device. Lots of features and customization options. Works on Level 4 of the Mikrotik license, which is more than you need for a home router or access point. Constant updates. Always adding new features and fixing bugs. This is by far the best I've seen from router manufacturers. Can be modified for WISP or Wi-Fi Bridge. Can be powered by PC/Laptop. I'm currently typing this on a laptop with a USB cable powering the device. Routing protocols BGP / OSPF / RIP, which are great for testing or implementing in a large network environment. There is no console port. Don't even deduct a star. You can use Winbox to connect by MAC address even if you mess up something at layer 3. All in all still a fantastic WiFi router/hotspot after lots of testing and use.
