My 2014 Macbook got wet and the Wi-Fi hardware is unavailable. I have a USB wireless wifi antenna but needed to download software so I bought this UGREEN LAN cable adapter. Connected to Mac, then wired, then to my router and I was connected to the internet via ethernet, then I download the software and wireless again! At first I was concerned that some customer questions and reviews only said that the adapter would work with Mac OS earlier than 10.11, but I tried it and it worked great! The APPLE brand costs more than 4 times more and the stores wanted 3 times more, so AMAZON wins again
