Flat plastic on top, then rolled into a rug, with another layer of plastic around it, rounded cardboard ends at each end of the roll to protect it, and another layer of plastic around everything. I am very satisfied with this product in every respect! - One invoice only - For the postage option, I chose to send it in Revain packaging so you can't see what's inside. I'm glad I did because my driver left it outside my porch and not on the porch like all other drivers. It was packaged in a huge rectangular box, tilted vertically, which can be very tempting for passers-by if you're not home to pick it up upon delivery.
