I agree with those who praised this oil filter. A good oil filter does its job unobtrusively, removing harmful particles from the oil. The benefit of an OEM filter is that it is designed to work with your specific vehicle's engine. While this is fairly obvious, it helps ensure oil pressure is within specification for various engine operating parameters. Aftermarket filters should be acceptable, but how do you know if other brands have stricter limits, down to reduced oil consumption under certain operating conditions? A little more sanity. I love the protective cap and pre-lubricated seal on these oil filters. Especially with the wholesale price I can't think of any reason to buy another oil filter for my Toyota Tacoma.
