As many of you have mentioned, the speed controller is not at all accurate and will not maintain the set speed. I use this with AC Infinity Axial 80x80x25mm fans and when you set the controller to lower speeds to reduce noise the fan doesn't stay at that speed but speeds up and down drastically on its own; also with power regulator. Also, if you set the speed and then unplug and plug the power back in, the fan speed will not be the same as it was before the shutdown. I wish this speed controller only had three exact gifts, like low, medium and high. Also note that if you use this with battery backup, whether it's a sine wave or not, the fan speed will not be the same on battery backup (actually seems to speed up when tested), and yes, You guessed right. , when power is restored from the backup battery, the fan speed is not the same as originally set, and you need to reset the speed again. The device is well built but does not work properly and is a complete failure for what it was intended and advertised for. I have two of these and ended up throwing them out of my setup. I'm still a big fan of AC Infinity fans.
