I used this to attach a block to a tree while trying to get the stump out. For traction I only used a John Deere 1025R (it's the smallest mini tractor JD makes). It was a pull of 2500 pounds. With one block you double that to 5000 pounds. The first part to rip is the stitching near the hook. Once it broke I used an improved knot to attach it to the dash block. Then the belt broke. It cannot withstand the stated strength.
