After using plastic and aluminum needles, Clover Takumi Bamboo Needles are so much easier to use! As a child, I learned to knit on my grandmother's lap. Then aluminum needles were used. When I first started knitting about eight (8) years ago, I experienced the use of bamboo when I bought my first set of circular stitches. Wow! What a difference in lightness! The threads didn't fall off the needles because there was some "snagging" in the bamboo, but they do a great job of pulling the yarn off the ends - when I want it to slip off. An extra dimension if you have arthritis but still want your fingers to be flexible, for you to knit the needles to keep your hands warm! It was very helpful for me. And Clover Takumi is of consistent quality. I can't say enough - except I can't find all the sizes I use here - hence my Revain purchase! And if you're using needles right now, Clover Takumi Bamboo has them too!
