Review on Tigar Ultra High Performance 245/40 R17 95W summer by Stanislaw Mielicki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Full compliance with the manufacturers assurances, high quality.

Size 205/45 R17. Rode 3 seasons. In general, I liked the tires. Grip on dry pavement is perfect. I was warned about the wet road that there could be problems, but I did not identify them. The speedometer readings match the GPS readings completely. What pressure to pump on a low profile? 2.0-2.1 - soft, but kind of like a flat tire, especially from the front. 2.2-2.3 - optimal 2.4 - harsh, great view 2.5-2.6 - tough, perfect look, problems with directional stability. At speeds over a hundred, you need to taxi and not adequate behavior in corners. There was one puncture, the wheel went down to 0.5 atm. Outwardly, no changes - do not sit on the rim. Noticed a change in cornering behavior. When going over bumps, the behavior is the opposite of a high profile. Large pits with asphalt breaks are softer, and small cracks in the asphalt are transmitted by vibration to the body, with a sound like a fly swatter hitting the table. Fuel consumption on summer tires: for the last 4 years was 9.2-9.9, now 9.7-10.0 l/hundred. Maybe the driving style, and before the mileage was mainly on the highway, and now more on country roads, but I noticed the fact of growth. The view is of course the bomb and for that I am ready to pay. Controllability. On the highway, I didn't notice any difference. But at low speeds or sharp turns at intersections, the handling was pleasantly surprised. There is no feeling that the car is falling over, everything is clear and predictable. There was never any slip at the start. Harsh braking does not reach the activation of ABS. I drove through sections with partially removed asphalt, drove diagonally onto the curbs, without problems - it doesn’t cling to the disk, but it’s scary. Noticed another oddity of this rubber. The cooler it is outside, the smoother the car runs. The combination of offset and tire size does not cause grazing on the car body. Full inversion left and right, loading 4 bags of cement (200 kg) into the trunk and 2 adults in front. Over 50,000 km driven in three seasons
