Review on πŸ”₯ Enhance Heating Efficiency with the Motorcraft KH-509 HVAC Heater Hose Assembly by Shah Jones

I recommend taking a look at the WHITE QUICK CONNECTORS on your NEW HOSE.

Installed on my 2008 Ford Expedition. I can say without hesitation that the part fits PERFECTLY. I read some of the reviews that helped me so thought I'd summarize them to help others. Maybe 8 cups of water/antifreeze will come out when you disconnect the old hose. Not so hot what's up. I recommend examining the WHITE QUICK CONNECTORS on the NEW HOSE before removing the old one. There are 2 ways to REMOVE the white quick disconnects. You can pinch the reed on the side, or you can pinch the FINEST reed (where it comes out of the hose). THIS is how the old hose is removed. If you try to pinch the tabs on the side, it's difficult. If you squeeze the tabs at the very end, it's easy. Make sure you squeeze the hose towards the lugs to relieve the pressure, then pinch the lugs at the very end and then pull the hose out of the fitting. QUICK CONNECTORS are retained when you disconnect the hose. I would only reuse the old connections, not the new ones. It's easier and works great. The long side of the hose must be clamped RIGHT NEXT TO THE FIRE MOUSE. You will see another location to disable, but that is NOT CORRECT. This part excludes the 2 connection points on the original hose. Better. It's a little hard to get to. Position yourself where you are lying on top of the engine, directly across from the hose so you can reach inside with both hands again. Once you disconnect the old hose, you can connect the new one in 1 minute. Took me a total of 20 minutes. If I had to do it again, it would take me 5 minutes. NO SPECIAL TOOLS NEEDED. BELIEVE ME!
