You get a great monitor for the price. I am building a racing simulator and wanted to use three monitors to have a view from both sides of my car. Two of them are excellent for this purpose. If you're looking for one monitor for all your PC needs, I'd consider a slightly better quality. Color matching is difficult at best. My primary monitor is the 24 inch ASUS VG248QE and it would be unfair to compare the quality of these BenQ monitors to that. Response time is normal for gaming and watching movies is normal. Any photo editing will drive you crazy because the color reproduction from screen to paper is terrible. .If you are planning a budget display, these monitors are perfect for you. They're built to last, but more importantly, BenQ takes just as good care of its customers in the warranty department as the bigger brands. If it were me and you needed a monitor for everyday use for all your PC tasks, then add another $50-$70 and you have a device that will visually reward you for years to come.
