The wiper on the driver's side of my new 2017 GTI has had streaks since day one, so I went to the forum and found that problems with OE VW wiper blades are common. This succeeds on the new VW GTI. I bought the driver side 26" and left the smaller VW blade on the passenger side on the car as it worked well. So far TRICO is working great. No bands, gaps or noise. Very smooth and clean. Time will tell how long they last hold up in the Southern California heat UPDATE: 1 year later - the rubber lip has deteriorated and is peeling off which is normal for me The performance has been so good I have replaced it with the exact same knife No streaks, cracks or noise when summery Heat (record setting 120 degrees) and sitting in the sun somewhat to be expected The OEM passenger side blade comes loose after 15 months.
