It just so happened that the next day after the installation we drove for 3 hours in a row in the pouring rain. Pros: Easy to apply, sticks well to the windshield. Cons: The passenger-side wiper leaves annoying scratches where the blade changes direction at the top of its cycle, the driver's-side wiper creates suction at the top of its cycle, partially bringing the rain back into view. Time to send it back but I won't be buying it again.

I read the instructions that were in the box. I swapped out the adapter which was easy. He took off the plastic "washer" according to the instructions. Tried to install. but in vain. The notched, pointed end of the wiper was not long enough to fit fully into the metal wiper arm. Compared to the original blade, it was about 1/2 inch shorter. I tried several times and nothing worked. No positive "lock" can be touched. I had to go back. I do not recommend the later model Volvo XC90.

As the windshield begins to dry the sheet will begin to crack and snag on the windshield surface like excessive downforce. You'll think the downforce is good, but if there's too much of it the blade will start to bounce around and get stuck. I've been using these wipers for over 2 years now. These wipers are the ONLY ones I've had that never miss a surface when driving over 60mph. Most other models rise high enough to keep water and dirt right in front of my face. They never do and they don't squeak. The wiper on the driver's side of my new 2017 GTI has had streaks since day one, so I went to the forum and found that problems with OE VW wiper blades are common. This succeeds on the new VW GTI. Fit, fit and essential features are as advertised and expected from Trico. There was no chatter, the windshield is cleaned equally well in light fog and in heavy rain. Cleaning the glass and removing bugs with the washer is really good as the entire blade is in contact with the glass even with less liquid.
