Review on Nomacorc Synthetic Wine Corks #9 X 1 1/2&#34 Kitchen & Dining in Home Brewing & Wine Making by Will Lockhart

I bottle 3-6 cases of wine most months. I tried this cork because it is for wine that can be stored for more than 3-5 years. I've never had natural cork stoppers from bottles that I cork. 14 out of 30 bottles sealed with Normacorc synthetic wine closures partially erupted within 5 minutes and had to be resealed. I made sure the replacement caps were dry (no liquid sanitizer) and recapped the same bottles. These remained properly closed. This cork can work well when the bottle cap and cork are dry, but due to the added complexity I probably won't buy this product again. unless I make another batch of premium wine that I can go 5 or more years without drinking. Most likely not.
