I was changing my snorkel on the go and someone had a similar battery powered pump that came in very handy. This one is much more convenient because you can set the maximum pressure and walk away or entrust it to your child. The killer feature of this is the ability to set the pressure you want and it will turn off automatically. I taught my teenager how to use this so she can inflate her own bike tires. I wrote the correct tire pressures, and she shouldn't over-inflate them when adjusting the pressure. I have used this to inflate tires on my motorcycles and bikes in the garage which takes a few seconds. I double checked several tires with my digital pressure gauge until I could trust it to be accurate. I installed a spare tire on my JEEP and it took me about 12 minutes to get it up from 19lbs to 35lbs. The pump got warm, but not scalding hot like almost all portable compressors I've had over the years. I noticed that the pressure setting can go as high as 120psi, so I decided to try one of the 12" trailer tires that runs at 90psi. After 20 minutes, turn it off at 81.5 psi. The pressure built up very slowly, the hose at the end near the pump got too hot to touch and seemed to struggle. In both cases, the battery dropped to one bar per gauge. This pump is very small and light enough to fit in a tool bag, but I wouldn't carry it in a backpack. It comes with a small pouch that holds the pump contains and hose, but hardly and only when the hose is twisted. It would be cool if it came with a harder case that can also hold at least one of the chargers. It comes with an AC charger that plugs into an outlet and a DC charger with an LED light, which is very handy but the button is very very accessible and easily turned on during carrying in a pocket, transportation or handling. I left the light on for about 45 minutes to see if it would turn itself off, but it doesn't. I really like this pump and plan to experiment with it again. I'd love to see how it handles a raft or beach toys, but I won't really use it most of the time.
