I love the quality of this hub and the braided cable. However, it drives my Windows 10 PC crazy at boot. The PC will not complete the boot process while this hub is connected. I still don't know if it's just the hub connected to the PC causing the problem or the devices I have connected (webcam and speakers). However, these two devices connected to the previous hub without any issues. The temporary, painful fix I make is to unplug this hub every time I need to restart my computer, then plug it back in after the PC has restarted. especially in the dark. I may need to tape it off so it doesn't bother me when I'm trying to sleep.
