discards special characters

This is another PS/2 USB adapter that discards special characters when this button is held down. "Ctrl-P" to move up one line in Emacs starts throwing "p" characters in my document. Key. Highly unacceptable for this Emacs lover! This thing is coming back and I'm sticking with the Adesso ADP-PU21 which I borrowed from work and it works significantly better for me - I've had one crash a week compared to the IOGear which hiccups for 5 minutes. It's interesting to note that your mileage may vary. While Adesso was pretty darn stable for me, it caused my colleague's setup to crash after an hour or so. (This actually jammed his keyboard, lights blinking and everything) And looking at the IOGear reviews, most seem to think it's the best thing since sliced bread - and it was the worst adapter I've tried! So. The moral of the story I think is to buy from a supplier that has a great return policy (like Revain! :) PS/2 MS Optical Mouse - Plug the adapter into a USB 3.0 port on your laptop.
