Well Done: Collars, Harnesses and Leashes

This is my second remote control collar that I have. The first from the "famous" company and which cost twice as much, there were a lot of problems. When it finally turned off completely I stumbled across this remote collar and figured for the price I couldn't go wrong. I have to say I was very impressed with these collars. They're not as good as some of those $100-200 models, but for the price they work very well and are well made. Here's what I liked about them: 1. Collars: My old collars were cheap plastic pieces that crack and break over time, most collars removed that I've seen come with these collars. It's not like this. It comes with a nice durable cotton collar. I don't have to worry about it breaking. The only thing about it is that you have to assemble it and that takes quite a bit of patience lol but after about 20 minutes looking over the instructions I was able to figure it out and get the hinges right. 2. Receiver: durable. I have a collar with two collars, I use this collar for behavior correction (barking, etc.) so that my dogs wear it for a long time (Warning: dogs should never wear such a collar for a long time). But when I take care of my dogs, they wear them so I can correct them if necessary. They are rude around the house when wearing them and if they can take on boys at play they can handle anything lol.3. Battery Life: So far the battery life has been VERY good. I've been using it for a few days and still don't need to charge it again.4. Console: Much better than my old one. Some of these cheap models, like my old one (although it was twice the price of this one), require pressing a million buttons to change function, and instead of numbers they have "bars" for intensity level. If you can remember exactly where the "stripe" was or count how many stripes you had, you don't know what arrangement your dog usually uses. This one is numbered, it shines very well. The buttons are poorly labeled, but there are only 3 on the front, so I remember using the middle vibrate. Not so difficult.5. Correction Levels: Since I only use these collars for behavior correction, I got the idea to use a shock for that, so I only use the vibrate mode (the same as your phone vibrates in your pocket). It goes to level 8, the shock (which I've never used) goes to level 16. But the vibration is enough to get my dogs attention as I really just want to distract them from misbehavior. Overall I think these collars are very good for the price. Obviously not something a professional dog trainer would likely use, but for the average pet owner who just wants general training or remedies that won't break the bank and are long lasting, they're a perfect fit. Very happy with them.
