Very durable and well constructed; helped our older Golden Retriever safely into our truck

We bought these stairs for our 12 year old Golden Retriever to climb into our Silverado because she couldn't jump in anymore and was too heavy to do it easily to lift . With a little practice, the steps worked well. You have to make sure the steps are fully extended or they won't feel tight. Our truck has a crew cab and the rear doors do not open far enough for the steps to be fully attached to the edge of the body. There is no good solution to the problem without making the steps narrower, which would likely make them less comfortable for the dog. We had to angle them on one side, which left a small gap at the top where one of the levers attached to the edge didn't sit properly due to the narrow opening. It took a little convincing to get our dog ready to climb up and down the steps, perhaps because she could see the gap at the top, but she eventually used them after a few tries and it made getting into the car a lot easier all of the time. I don't know how long they would have lasted as sadly she passed away after a short illness and she only used them for about 2 weeks. They were a good fix for when she needed them. I would recommend them to other people who have an older dog that has a hard time jumping into higher transport. They appeared to be very well constructed and of good quality.
