I spent over an hour installing this and now I have a leak I can't stop. I added extra teflon tape twice to try to prevent the tee from leaking. By tightening it to the bottom of the tank I moved everything inside the tank to new locations and this even disconnected the hose that was spraying water all over the bottom even from the tank cap. The instructions should really point out this potential problem and that you want to remove the cap and make sure it moves around in the tank. Now I'm calling a plumber to figure out how to stop the leak, which the plumber will probably say it's easier to replace the whole thing if the toilet is more than 8 years old, rather than messing around with individual components. So this project turns out to be much better than I expected. I don't know if the device works well as it might be a week and a few hundred dollars before I can figure it out. Sometimes the economical option is not so economical. The final cost can be equivalent to buying a toilet with a built-in bidet. I'll try to update this once I get to this point.
