I think double sided is the way to go! We drag this along the riverbed in our kayak and have pulled up quite a few "treasures”.Magnet is definitely strong enough to pull up larger items when it "latches” onto them.
I definitely recommend it.
- Pulled out a park bench with the hook and then this solid light bar with just the magnet
- Ordered 2 for my nephews. Disappointed the hooks were not included in either package.
