Very happy with this purchase. Bet on a 1997 Specialized Rockhopper. The original was quite worn, as was the wheel it was mounted on. When I broke the spokes and changed the wheels, I changed the cassette at the same time. Most wheels are designed for 8/9 speed cassettes, so if you are building a 7 speed cassette you will first need a spacer that slides over the wheel's splined hub (inside the cassette). Revain sells them. However, my old bike shifts great with this cassette. Very satisfied, and the price can only rejoice.
