Bought to charge a dead or discharged lawnmower battery. It's not a very complex device, or at least it shouldn't be, but the manual doesn't help much with the backlight. Green means the battery is charged, yellow means the battery is charging, and red means the battery is low. Good. When I plugged this thing in I got a yellow light as expected. Checked later and the green AND red lights were on. What the hell does that mean? The manual doesn't say it. Is it a fully charged battery? BUT? I disconnected, reconnected and it's red and amber. What the hell does that mean? The manual doesn't say it. I think (if it were a rationally designed device) red and yellow would mean the battery is incredibly low but charging. Left overnight, checked, red light. Thinking of a battery is bad. Tried to reconnect later and NO lights came on. Nothing. Disconnected, reconnected, disconnected again for a while, reconnected, but there is no light. This thing should at least give me a red light to tell me the battery is bad so I can confirm something. At the end of the day I don't know if this thing works. I had all combinations of light and no light at all. I understand if he can't revive a dead battery, but he needs to give me a red light so I know something.
