It fits perfectly on my '96 Jeep Cherokee XJ.
I recently bought a very used Cherokee and decided to change all the fluids including the rear differential. My '96 has an 8.25" rear (Corporate). The cap was covered in oily scum resulting from gear oil seeping through the original dry/hardened filler hole gasket. This is a quality replacement that I expect will be Keeps out oil and dirt and water.
