I got this yoga block as a Christmas present. I have used it many times already and it is great. It comes wrapped in tight plastic. The block had only a small feint smell of cork in it even though it was tightly wrapped in plastic. The light smell went away after less than a day. This block is slightly heavier than the common foam blocks, but for most yoga positions it doesn't matter. The yoga block feels solid and sturdy like a regular block. I would definitely recommend this yoga block to a friend.
