Pros: I've had the kettle for a couple of weeks, everything is fine. We calculated around 5-6 minutes to boil a full kettle of cold water. I usually set it at 200F for coffee and black tea and only fill it to the 32 ounce mark so it really takes 2-3 minutes. I bought this to replace my Keurig as I was looking to make the switch to coffee and I drink more tea than anything anyway so it's been a really good transition. It is useful that it is side sized and made of clear glass, thick and durable. The other version of this OXO teapot is opaque, and while cute, not knowing the dimensions would really annoy me (especially when trying to accurately brew coffee with a squirt). Finally, this is the most elegant and minimalist kettle I could find. To me, things like programmable on/off times are meaningless because I always put fresh water in, which Keurig can't do. Cons: This kettle would have gotten 5 stars if I didn't have to make the initial adjustments. First, the OXO-marked dial, which glows at the base, is loose and wiggles back and forth when I rotate it to select the temperature. To keep it from looking crooked, I have to turn it counterclockwise slightly after dialing the temperature. So in terms of looks, I made it look how I wanted it, but that's an ugly little problem. Secondly, from the few photos I have posted, the filter holder was bent when the kettle arrived. It took me a few weeks to convince him to move to the side and look like he was properly aligned with the spout. Before I finally got it to work, the flow was a bit crooked when the water was spouting out, and so it sometimes dripped onto the counter in front of the cup. These are mostly cosmetic issues that I was able to resolve, but I expect more from OXO so this disappointed me. I've noticed a few reviews on here complaining about the kettle getting fogged up after you've emptied it and turned it off. Since condensation is literally impossible to avoid on any freshly heated glass teapot with the lid closed, I just leave the lid open for a few hours and the mist will dissipate. Problem solved. Also, the price seems to fluctuate constantly between $69 and $99, so keep an eye out to make sure you're getting a good deal.
