The kettle boils up to 1.75 L of water faster than the microwave and safer than the stovetop, and water is heated and held for 30 minutes at your preferred temperature for tea or coffee (170-212). The backlit screen and one-dial interface allows you to easily choose the exact temperature in Degree Fahrenheit or Celsius, and let you know when chosen temperature is reached. Durable, BPA free borosilicate glass for thermal shock protection and water level visibility. The kettle is cord free for easy transport when removed from 360 Degree swivel base, and has convenient ounce and milliliter markings allowing for precise measuring. Nonslip, comfortable handle provides a secure grip and remains cool to the touch, and the lid opens slowly to control the release of steam and prevent hot water splatter. Reusable, perforated stainless steel filter strains water while you pour and is removable for easy cleaning. Water tastes like silicone

Update: 12/14/2020: I noticed that I didn't follow my last update. I ended up sending back the replacement kettle I received and cleaning the original kettle with silicone very carefully. From what I remember, the silicone seal seemed to be glued on too tightly, so I carefully cleaned the inside of the kettle and soaked it in vinegar. After a thorough rinse, the silicone taste was gone and the kettle was just wonderful. However, in September 2019, the kettle had problems with heating and beeped

UPDATE, it died just after the 2 year warranty expired.

I've only had this kettle for about five days, but I use it about once or twice a day. before I get to my pros and cons. The warranty of this kettle will be void if the user does not descale the kettle at least every 60 uses. The descaling solution must be purchased separately. I will probably use this teapot twice a day. This means that I have to descale this kettle once a month. What particularly annoys me about this is that most small appliances that need descaling simply recommend doing it…

I love this kettle, but it's not built the way it should be for an OXO product.

Pros: I've had the kettle for a couple of weeks, everything is fine. We calculated around 5-6 minutes to boil a full kettle of cold water. I usually set it at 200F for coffee and black tea and only fill it to the 32 ounce mark so it really takes 2-3 minutes. I bought this to replace my Keurig as I was looking to make the switch to coffee and I drink more tea than anything anyway so it's been a really good transition. It is useful that it is side sized and made of clear glass, thick and durable.

Electric kettle to get

come back but this one teapot finally got me to stop to search. My criteria for a kettle are very simple: no plastic touching the water, temperature control, and the ability to see the water level. There are many kettles on Revain that meet these criteria, but I ended up returning them due to various factors such as poor build quality, weird smell, rust, inaccurate temperature, etc. This kettle meets all my criteria and almost perfect almost cue.
