I solder copper jewelry with a 45 silver lamp, I tried two types of flux before I found this one, one was over 10 years old and useless, the other was extremely overpriced due to jewelry making. Craft shop department and gave the same results. I thought I was doing something wrong until I tried this one. It works great and I can't believe how cheap it is. I was shocked it worked because I read somewhere on here that it's not for silver, but it worked fine with my silver solder on copper. This allows the metal to flow right in place. Be sure to wash off any copper it comes in contact with when you're done. I made the mistake of fitting it to one of my brass bracelets while working and didn't realize it until a few hours later, now it needs a good cleaning and polishing. Right in the gap where it should be and the joint is barely visible.
