Bought for a trip. I knew we would end up sleeping in my traverse. I did not inflate before the ride and probably should have as I would have had another option. The supplied inlay gate was difficult to hold in the plug and a lot of air was lost when the plug was closed, even though it was supposed to have a non-return valve. The inflator keeps the valve open with a cap on the tip of the needle used for inflation. When you remove the inflator, the valve sticks and releases a lot of air, preventing you from tightening the mattress. There are 6 chambers to fill and all the plugs were the same. I managed to inflate it enough to keep me off the bottom of the car, but in the middle of the night when my husband sat down to roll on his side, he fell. The idea is there, but the quality and design aren't worth the price. Find the best option if you plan to sleep together on the go. 2 stars because at least my side stayed pouty.
