My problem with all the lines before that is that when they are twisted so the string isn't aligned backwards and I adjust this underwater, the inner tab that wraps around your leg first, sometimes into the inside of the cuff rolls . With 15 seconds until the next bomb hits my head, I don't want to waste a few of those seconds trying to get rid of that really nasty bump. Oh Stevie's leash slips over my ankle without a lump. Ideal! Now I just twist it into position and I'm done. The second is a latch that you must pull to remove the leash. For some reason I have to look for this tongue on other lines and sometimes it can be difficult to get rid of the line (especially when I'm on one of those tricky outings where the waves are crashing on the rocks and you have to time everything right). This leash fixed that. The lever is easy to find underwater and the leash is removed instantly whenever I want it. Finally, and this is unscientific, I haven't broken Oh Stevie's leash yet. I have given up on Dakine leads as they break all the time (they used to be my favorite brand). My home beach is Dominical in Costa Rica and during the season we have pretty strong waves, maybe once a month. I snap lines regularly and have never snapped Ho Stevie. That's not proof of anything, but an indicator I like! Nobody likes to swim all the way back to find a broken board on the beach.
